Awakening from winter's sleep, the Dryad feels the warmth of the spring sun. The entire forest will be sprouting, all the trees will leaf out, the forest floor will show mushrooms and wildflowers, and the birds will return to nest in the growing trees. The Dryad is the spirit of her tree, and keeps it growing until next winter, when she will sleep again.
The Dryad is made from cotton fabrics, with a painted and sculpted face and wool roving for hair. She is embellished with leaf-shaped sequins and glitter; her body is embellished with real twigs and moss. The Dryad stands about 15" tall. One of a kind.
