A vision of loveliness, a Fairy Bride walks down a rose-petal strewn garden path to wed her beloved. Accompanied by a barefoot fairy girl, she hears gentle strains of music from afar. After the couple say their vows, there will be a lively party that will go on till dawn; then the loving couple will retire to their bower for some rest before they start their life together.
The Fairy Bride and Fairy girl are made of cotton fabrics with painted and sculpted faces, and wigs of hand-dyed Tibetan lamb. The bride's dress is made of organza and lace, with a lace motif forming the bodice. Her bouquet is made of paper roses, silk lilies and faux dragonfly wings. She is crowned with ivory paper roses and her veil is lace. The fairy girl's dress is organza and lace with paper roses in her hair. Their wings are heat-treated Angelina film. The bride is about 16" tall, the fairy girl is about 9"; the wooded base is about 8"X9" and is embellished with moss and silk flower petals. One of a kind.
